Hire Procedure & Requirements
Equipment Insurance
Unlike going to the dentist, hiring our awesome, ready-to-shoot RED Epic-X package is a relatively painless procedure. Here’s what you need to do…
1) Send us an e-mail to confirm availability and reserve your collection and return dates.
2) Print out and complete the Hire Application Form that applies to you below…
3) E-mail us a copy of your insurance policy at least 3 working days before collection date.
* Please note: Your insurance policy MUST comply with our requirements. For more information, please see adjacent section on “Equipment Insurance”. Upon verification of your insurance policy, we will e-mail you an invoice with the charge due, and directions to Cinebug HQ!
4) Pay your invoice within 24hrs of receipt.
* Please note: The methods of payment we currently accept are Bank Transfer and PayPal. We require payment IN FULL in advance of hire, and payment MUST clear before the Hire Goods are released. Payments made via Bank Transfer are free of charge. Payments made via PayPal will incur a 3.4% + 20p charge, altering the prices to £207 per day / £827.40 per week.
5) Bring the following documents with you when collecting the Hire Goods…
- Hire Application Form – This form must be completed and signed.
- Photo ID – We accept either a passport and / or driving license ONLY.
- Proof of Address – This must be BOTH a recent bank statement AND a recent utility bill.
- Proof of insurance – See adjacent section.
* Please note: All documents must be originals ONLY — copies will NOT be accepted. We will be required to take our own copies of your photo ID and proof of address, as well as a photograph of your vehicle and its registration number for our records and insurance purposes.

When hiring any equipment from Cinebug, an ALL RISKS PRODUCTION INSURANCE POLICY IS MANDATORY. If you are not insured, or if your insurance policy fails to meet our requirements, you are liable for 100% of the replacement or repair costs and loss of hire charges. If you don’t already have insurance, there are many insurance brokers to choose from that specialise in media and offer short period hire — our recommendation is Essex Insurance Brokers:
